No, I'm not a pirate. I'm just getting irritated at this weather! I am trying to make a tough decision, but until the heat shows some hope of breaking I can't get myself over the hump to commit!
Why yes, the sun is sporting a different mustache or beard, so click the picture to truly appreciate them! Blame my craziness on the heat!
My journey on becoming and being a bandster. (Having the lapband procedure.) Hopefully it will not only help me in my journey and in reflection, but others that are considering lapband as a viable option for weightloss.

- Female - Age: 47
- Height: 5'8"
- Starting weight: 234 lbs
- Original Goal weight (Dr): 149 lbs
- Surgery Date: November 16, 2005
- Achieved 1/2 point: March 1, 2006 (42.5 lbs)
- Achieved 3/4 point: October 25, 2006 (63.75 lbs)
- Achieved goal(Dr): July 11, 2007 (85 lbs)...then I decided to become less Fluffy
- Original weight goal range 1: 138 lbs - 142 lbs
- Revised weight goal range(June 2010): 132 - 136 lbs
- Total lost: 105 lbs
Tips for Success with Lap Band
- Eat only small meals (four to six ounces = 1/2 to 3/4 cup)
- Cut food into small, dime-size bites. Eat only one bite at a time. Chew thoroughly and swallow carefully.
- Stop eating as soon as you feel full. Just because you can eat more, doesn't mean you should!
- Do not drink while eating.
- Eat only quality, nutritious foods. Remember protein first!
- Avoid white, starchy foods and fibrous foods with stalks
- Drink plenty of fluids during the day (eight 8oz glasses) unless contraindicated due to a medical condition
- Drink only low-calorie liquids
- Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, unless contraindicated due to a medical condition
- Call your surgeon, nurse practitioner, or provider if you have any problems, questions, concerns, vomiting, or are unable to keep down liquids.
These are general guidelines, but each patient is unique. Speak with your doctor or nurse practitioner if you have questions or are struggling with any of these guidelines.

Yuck-o! That sucks! It was actually gorgeous here today. And for the rest of the week. Only in the upper 70's. Hope you get a break in the weather soon, and you brain gets cooled down! In the mean time, we'll enjoy the cookiness!

We actually had a 'break' in the heat this week.
If you call lower to mid-90s a break....we live in a sick hot weather world.
