No, I'm really not crazy.

I have a lot of talks with myself in my head, but sometimes out loud. It can go kinda like this:
  • Can I eat more of that? Yes, but I shouldn't.
  • Should I go to bootcamp? Yes, you should.
  • Can I have a drink while I eat? Yes, but I shouldn't.
  • Blah, blah, blah...
You get the point. Side bar: Did your mother ever annoy you with the - "I don't know, can you?"  There are a lot of things I can do, but it doesn't mean I should and there's also a lot of things I should do and I can. Having this inner dialogue has made me think about my choices and making decisions more consciously. I've gotten over it when I'm caught talking to myself out loud! Sometimes it just works better.

Have I been perfect? Far from it and I don't ever expect to be, it's just me working on making conscious choices. Oh, and here's a cheesy graphic. : )

I have complete conversations with my dog...out loud....is that crazy?
Naaaa, totally normal here.

But you are so right. I just made a new 'plan' to not reward myself with bad choices, ie food.

And I also need to realize, A LOT, specifically this: Just because there are donuts in the break room doesn't mean you SHOULD eat them! It's a work in progress.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one with the enternal thing going on...I battled with myself yesterday and thankfully the smarter half won.

Love the cheesy graphic!

I have these conversations with myself too. Not usually out loud. And I usually imagine the whole devil on one shoulder and angel on the other scenario. And the angel doesn't win. But she's starting to talk louder so maybe it'll swing her way soon.

My husband and/or my dog have to listen to this conversations all the time. If they are not available I will have them in my head.
It is what we do. I think it is how we control ourselves.
Not drinking while eating is the hardest part for me.....

So, so true! I find that when I DON'T have the internal dialogue it's time to investigate what I'm doing.
