Weekly Weigh In

Well, I had decided I would be happy with remaining the same weight as last week considering the huge loss (4 lbs.) and I am trying. :-) I am focusing on the fact that what the heck is 1.5 lbs really anyway? I'm just so close to the 100 lbs mark though I can taste it. Plus, let's be real - I worked out a lot this week. Geez...

Current weight: 135.5 lbs. Amount lost - big goose egg.

Exercise
  • Mon - 111 mins
  • Tues - 95 mins
  • Wed - 90 mins
  • Thurs - Thanksgiving (OFF)
  • Fri - 90 mins
  • Sat - 113 mins
  • Sun - OFF

Are you shrinking in size if not in weight measurements - such a lot of exercise you must be building muscle and toning up heaps. Mel

I'm definitely shrinking still. My size 6 clothes are much loser than they were and there are some things that I have that are 4's. I've honestly gotten a little obsessive about hitting that 100 lbs - as if you can't tell! But I personally find so many benefits of working out. Manages stress, makes clothes fit better, definitely helps with weight loss (there is no way at this weight that I would have seen 4 lbs gone in a week without it), and allows me to cheat now and then with no impact.

I saw on your blog about restriction and that it varies. Mine varies all the time just as you have described. I think our lovely hormones have a huge impact on how tight we are from day to day. Enjoyed reading your blog. Congrats on your 'un-official' weigh in.

I might have seen it on your blog in the early days, the difference between your idea of goal weight and your surgeons idea. At 5ft8 - you are tallish - in your honest opinion, were you happy with yourself at the suggestive 149 pounds? Does your current 135.5 look healthy (size 4 - omg!)? I imagine some of that weight accounts to muscle mass, as you seem to work out a fair bit. But a 15 pound difference is a fair amount. Is your obession healthy?
(I just googled my weight loss in pounds *faint* 154 pounds!) someone just shoot me now.
One other question - how come no photos on your blog?

I don't recall that the surgeon 'assigned' a target to me, but gave me a range. I thought if I got to 149 I would be very happy. I definitely was and sat at that weight for quite some time. Then I put on a bit of weight and decided to take my weight down to the 134 range and see how I felt. I'm definitely way within my BMI range at either weight, but don't anticipate going lower than the 134 (when I get there - HA!), I do think that working out is key. It totally reshapes you. I know someone that got a bad and I swear she looks like a smaller version or her previous shape. Why? No working out which she admits and I believe. There are only 7 people that know about my band. They aren't even family members! So, I want to be able to share my experience, but also preserve my identity at the same time. That being said, I am trying to figure out how to put a pic up. It's funny how I didn't realize how much I had changed until I saw a pic! In regard to the 154, you can do it! :-)

Yeah cool, not that you need to justify your weight to anyone! Was just curious. I really want to change change. I do enjoy exercise and will want to tone up as much as possible. At the end of the day I am really scared about excess skin. I look at my hideous baggage now and think, where is that skin going to go!
If you need help making pics anonymous (face or backgrounds disappear) I'm the girl to ask! Being on the other side of the world, I think your identity is safe. Let me know, happy to help.
Thanks for your responses too by the way, really appreciate your efforts.
Anyway, happy birthday for this weekend, enjoy!
